Guidelines for Parents

A respectful partnership between home and school gives every child the consistency, encouragement, and support needed to thrive.

Partners in Every Child’s Growth

These guidelines support clear communication, student wellbeing, regular learning habits, and a positive relationship between families and the school.

Communication with the School

  • Keep telephone numbers, email addresses, residential details, authorised pickup information, and health records current.
  • Use the student diary, official portal, school email, telephone, or scheduled meeting process for communication.
  • Raise concerns respectfully with the relevant teacher or coordinator first. Urgent safety or safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately to school leadership.

Supporting Learning at Home

  • Encourage punctual attendance, adequate sleep, healthy routines, reading, independent study, and timely completion of assignments.
  • Review school messages and the student diary regularly without completing work on the child’s behalf.
  • Attend parent-teacher meetings and work with teachers on agreed strategies when academic, behavioural, attendance, or wellbeing support is required.

Arrival, Departure and Campus Safety

  • Follow the notified timings, entry points, traffic flow, visitor registration, and student handover procedures.
  • Children will be released only through approved arrangements. Any change in transport or pickup must be communicated through the authorised process.
  • Parents and visitors should not enter classrooms or teaching areas without permission, as this protects learning time and student safety.

Wellbeing, Privacy and Respect

  • Inform the school of medical, emotional, learning, or family circumstances that may affect the child so suitable support can be considered.
  • Avoid discussing or publishing confidential information, photographs, disputes, or allegations concerning other children or families.
  • Treat staff, students, transport personnel, and other parents courteously. Threatening, abusive, or disruptive behaviour is not acceptable on campus or through digital communication.
