Attendance Expectations
- Students should attend all working days unless illness, an emergency, or another unavoidable circumstance prevents attendance.
- The school expects at least 75% attendance, or any higher requirement notified under applicable board rules, for eligibility in examinations and promotion processes.
- Participation in assemblies, assessments, practical work, activities, and officially scheduled school programmes forms part of attendance expectations.
Reporting an Absence
- A parent or guardian should notify the school promptly through the approved communication channel when a student is absent.
- A written leave request should state the reason and expected duration. Planned leave should be requested in advance and should avoid teaching and assessment days wherever possible.
- For illness lasting several days, the school may request a medical certificate or fitness confirmation before the student returns.
Late Arrival and Early Departure
- Students arriving late must report through the designated entry or school office before joining class.
- Early departure is permitted only on a verified request from a parent or guardian and after authorisation by the school.
- Repeated lateness or early departure will be discussed with the family because it interrupts learning and classroom routines.
Returning After Absence
- Students are responsible for collecting missed notes, assignments, and announcements with guidance from teachers.
- Missed tests or practical work will be handled according to the school assessment policy and the reason for absence.
- When attendance becomes a concern, the school will contact the family and agree on practical steps to support improvement.
